Everyone from the plumber to the homeowner has a legal and social responsibility to adhere to regulations and safety when installing a Hot Water Cylinder. By completing the WACC form, the qualified plumber will make a fundamental difference to the validity of work carried out. This process will support any claims should any discrepancy come to light after the installation has been completed (ie. Burst/faulty geyser).
WACC will be the first platform in South Africa that will give all the role players peace of mind with regards to workmanship and health and safety.WACC cannot change all aspects of plumbing overnight but we need to start with the issues that have devastating results to the public if not installed according to code.
